Orioles 5, Indians 6

W – Josh Tomlin (11-4)     L – Jim Johnson (5-3)     SV – Chris Perez (22)

– Jake Arrieta is the latest Oriole starting pitcher not able to get deep into a game. He gave up five runs on eight hits, including two homeruns, and three walks over five innings. He struck out four batters. Hes pitched terrible since taking some time off to rest his elbow due to bone spurs. Have to wonder if thats still an issue. The game was tied when Jim Johnson came into the game in the 6th but he gave up a quick run to get the loss. He ended up pitching two innings. Koji Uehara struck out three batters over the final two innings.
– Matt Wieters and Nolan Reimold each hit solo homeruns in the 2nd inning which gave us a brief lead. Adam Jones tied it back up in the 3rd with an RBI double and again in the 5th with a two run homer. JJ Hardy and Nick Markakis each singled for the only other hits in the game. Markakis and Wieters each walked once, Reimold walked twice. Our losing streak reached a season high nine games. Its getting harder and harder to watch.

Player of the game: Adam Jones – 2-4, R, 3 RBI, double (16), HR (14) (.284 AVG)

Alfredo Simon (1-2, 4.85) takes the hill tonight in game three. Carlos Carrasco (8-6, 4.28) pitches for the Indians.
